PIANC Annual Conference

From the President's Desk

In 2014, I joined the board of the PIA of North Carolina.  In 2015, I was asked to take over the President’s spot because I was the only one on the board that hadn’t had the seat yet.  So, I took it, and over the years, as the association has grown, so have I, both professionally and personally.  I wasn’t sure how the journey would go as I took over that spot, but now, here we are, 7 years later, with the help of so many different people that I’ve now become friends with, the PIA of North Carolina is most definitely on the right track.  The Board of the PIA of North Carolina is very strongly connected and everyone on that board has been in the industry for some time.

All of the metrics we pride ourselves on as an association is all looking very positive.  We’ve added some new board members, and even had one retire from the board – these will be announced at the annual conference in Winston-Salem, as will our new slate of officers.

The industry has been changing for years and will continue to do so.  Our association helps everyone to keep up with these changes and help adapt to new challenges as they arise.  There’s product availability, Continuing Education, and much more.  I encourage you to explore our newly designed website: www.pianc.net  There you will find a wealth of services available at your fingertips to help you manage your agency.

Thank you all for sticking with us through these hard times we experienced not so long ago. I’m excited about the future here at the PIA of North Carolina and look forward to seeing the continued fruits of our labor as a board.

I look forward to seeing you at the convention in August!
